Programming
On-ice sessions will follow an age-appropriate skill-development model in daily 75 minute ice sessions. The model aims to provide players with sufficient reps and puck-touches, while providing an ecological-systems approach to highlight the recall of these skills in varying game-like situations. The optimal player experience is one of appropriate physical and mental challenges to their current skill-level in a safe and fun environment.
Dryland programming will occur outdoors in the field adjacent to the KC Twin Arena parking lot for as long as weather permits. The model will follow one of a wide range of athletic movement with a focus specifically on agility, speed, and coordination. If the weather is too cold or wet to be outdoors, dryland will shift inside KC Arena with a focus on range-of motion, flexibility, core strength, plyometrics, and eye-hand coordination activities.
Classroom programming will follow a proprietary curriculum specifically designed for KC Strike Camp. Athletes will be exposed to a wide range of hockey-related skills including hockey IQ through, sport psychology, skill acquisition and development, and personal growth.

Camp is organized and run by Evan Kurylo (KC Director of Goaltender Development).
